the 13th September, 1901, and acting on the suggestion of the local Chamber of Commerce, I have the honour to recommend that the new Health Officer of the Port should hold a Public Health Diploma to ensure his being thoroughly competent to deal with disinfection, segregation and other questions likely to arise in connection with Quarantine Regulations and
requirements.
